Mol Premier® High-Temperature Furnaces
The laboratory furnaces from the Mol Premier® series for elemental analysis are high-temperature, resistance-heated furnaces for temperatures up to 1550 °C. All furnaces have a modern touch display as well as specialized and easy-to-use software that has been individualized to meet the requirements of a modern laboratory furnace. All furnaces have multiple modes of operation.
- Fast heating (maximum power)
- Multi-stage heating (for protecting the heating elements during the warm-up phase) and
- Timed heating (energy-saving for low operating costs).
Our furnaces are available in 3 different designs, which have been optimized for the respective application:
- Mol Premier®1350 Combustion Furnace for the complete oxidation of the sample in the oxygen stream at high temperatures.
- Mol Premier®1000 Combustion Furnace for the complete oxidation of particularly large samples in the oxygen stream.
- Mol Premier®1350 Pre-Heating Furnace for the reduction of blank values of sample carriers such as combustion boats and crucibles according to ASTM E1019, ISO 9556 and ISO 4935.
In addition to their ease of operation and robust construction, the laboratory furnaces are characterized by particularly high efficiency, low energy consumption and low wear. In addition, Mol Analytik guarantees the availability of spare parts for all our products.
Combustion of Samples at High Temperatures
For combustion of solid samples in the form of solid pieces, chips, powders and pastes in the oxygen stream at particularly high temperatures of up to 1550 °C, we recommend the Mol Premier®1350 Combustion Furnace. The samples are pushed into the laboratory furnace’s hot zone in ceramic combustion boats with a sample insertion rod. The combustion tube diameter is 28 mm. The sample is fully combusted in the oxygen stream. The sample gas can then be analyzed using an analyzer system connected to the laboratory furnace, such as the CS1000 Elemental Analyzer. Combustion of Particularly Large Samples
For combustion of particularly large, solid samples in the form of solid pieces, chips, powders and pastes in the oxygen stream at temperatures of up to 1050 °C, we recommend the Mol Premier®1000 Combustion Furnace. The samples are pushed into the laboratory furnace’s hot zone in quartz glass combustion boats with a sample insertion rod. The tube diameter of the quartz glass flow reactor is 50 mm. The sample is fully combusted in the oxygen stream. The sample gas can then be analyzed using an analyzer system connected to the laboratory furnace, such as the CS1000 Elemental Analyzer. Combustion of Samples in the Sensitive ppm Range
For the determination elemental contents in the sensitive ppm range, it may be necessary to reduce the blank values of the sample carriers such as combustion boats and crucibles. Here we recommend the Mol Premier®1350 Pre-Heating Furnace. The laboratory furnace’s pre-heating tube, which is open on both ends, has a diameter of 29 mm and reaches temperatures of up to 1350 °C. The Mol Premier®1350 Pre-Heating Furnace meets or exceeds common standards such as ASTM E1019 “Standard Test Methods for Determination of Carbon, Sulfur, Nitrogen, and Oxygen in Steel, Iron, Nickel, and Cobalt Alloys by Various Combustion and Inert Gas Fusion Techniques” and ISO 9556 “Steel and iron – Determination of total carbon content – Infrared absorption method after combustion in an induction furnace” and ISO 4935 “Steel and iron – Determination of sulfur content – Infrared absorption method after combustion in an induction furnace.” [learn more…]
